It needs to be relevant to what you do. People judge a business name like they do the style of your product. It needs to resonate with your target customer. Black rifle coffee might be a miss with you but the target customer tend to agree there is a ring to it. It means something to them.business names are brand statements. Naked and Famous jeans. Roots clothing brand. Black rifle coffee. Starbucks.value proposition - the value proposition or the unique selling point is the crux of the business. If a customer can not understand what the idea is in 5 seconds they will think it is not well thought out. The company 'roots' in their name and unique selling point is an outdoors clothing brand. Roots is very open and loud about being an outdoors lifestyle brand. And they fulfill it too.value propositions have to be very well thought out. They must be fulfilled to a high level. Often times an innovative/new proposition is very compelling. i.e Dollar shave club. If the right proposition is made for the right customer you may have a very compelling offer.congruency - a company has to be congruent. The design (product, website, blog) has to be consistent. If everything is consistent people will see it as very thought out, and very well executed. Professionalism signals that you know that quality is king, and you will fulfill your promise of a high value product.congruency and consistency shows professionalism. A new small business can appear to be like a well established big business. By appearing professional you signal to the customer that you are here to please, and to make an awesome product. Professionalism is king.marketing and product - A good promotional strategy with great results, and a very high value product are critical. Having these things be exceptional can cover for many faults.the marketing is often the thing that helps keep things alive(cashflow). A great product, and great customer experience keeps people buying more, and spreading the word out about how much they like it to people they know and online.execution and strategy - good strategy is useless without good execution.
