Hey guys, I own a decent size supplements e-commerce business. I just wanted to throw a PSA out there for any aspiring entrepreneurs or noobies. Be EXTREMELY wary of anyone trying to sell you a course to start a business, become an influencer, or anything else. These courses that target complete beginners are usually egregiously expensive and offered by people who market themselves well but often times are not actual experts. You can get the same information from a book or reading posts online. I just saw an ad in another Reddit entrepreneur thread for someone advertising to help you figure out what products to sell and then optimize your store. Steer way clear of this type of thing. They will give generic and shitty advice. If they really knew how to kick ass at e-commerce, they would be netting several million a year from one or multiple stores - but instead they are choosing to teach you. That makes no sense. A couple years ago my grandmother paid some company 25 grand to build a simple ass website for drop shipping. These opportunists are everywhere. The exception to the course rule is if it’s for a very specific skill set and it’s inexpensive (under 100 bucks). For example last week I told one of my employees to find a course that teaches beginner excel for under 100 and I’m paying for her to take that. Another acceptable example would be an inexpensive course that teaches AdWords management. But if someone is promising to sell you a course that will change your life, then RUN! see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
