Hi, I work for a startup, we're international, but I'm based in a US state that does not have any Paternity leave.I'm about to have a baby, and while my coworkers in the UK would get 2 weeks of paid paternity leave, and the ones in California would get 12 weeks unpaid. Because of my state, I get nothing. We do have Unlimited PTO, but no one on staff has ever taken a vacation or any sick time that I can recall. The executive team is asking me to "pitch" my time off to the Board of Directors next week. From what I understand half of the board is saying follow the law, which means no time off, I would have to take sick days while at the hospital and even then still be on email. The other half are wanting to hear my pitch. I don't have a pitch, I'm just going to say this is the moral thing to do.I'd like to get some people's opinions on the situation. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
