Why SEO is more profitable than Ads

SEO is definitely more important than Google Ads or FB Ads. Why: a good SEO strategy is the same as a good marketing strategy. If you have a strong strategy that brings traffic in long term, why would you spend XXXX$ for Ads? I'm impressed how much people spend on Ads and then they realize how SEO is important. But, people still spend less on optimization even if it's more profitable. This mindset leads to the wrong direction.
