Help with an idea

My team has been brainstorming several ideas and problems this past month and this is what we are thinking of going forward with.College students (especially freshmen and sophomores) go through a lot of trouble in finding projects and a team to work with to improve skill sets or resume. We want to create a platform for college students to post their projects ideas (ranging from normal course projects to startups) and look for teammates (with certain qualifications they list along with the post) interested in the project. The other students would apply for the project they are interested in and after a brief conversation, they can choose to go ahead with it or keep looking.We are kind of conflicted on the business model. We want to include mentors in the future that would help students in exchange for a small fee, from which we would take a commission. However, we are unsure if students would pay to use mentors for projects since their universities would probably have tons of free resources.
