Hi all! I have extensive experience in being a home health aide and in the mental health field. I don’t have a degree, make chump change, and am sick of being owned by someone with my healthcare dangled over my head.I’m considering starting my own bath aide business. I would be going to elderly/disabled clients and assisting with bathing. If they’re bed bound I would use an inflatable tub (they’re dope) or if they can transfer helping them in the shower. My services would be extensive, foot soak, nail trim, hairstyle, lotion and also doing skin checks to keep good skin integrity. I’m sure with the aging boomers I could make a killing and support myself once and for all.I’m thinking of charging a 50$ flat fee and 25$ an hour after that with the ideal bath taking 1.5-2 hours. Does this seem realistic?Any other entrepreneurs pay out of pocket for health insurance? This is what I’m most scared of, that my salary will go up significantly only to have the majority taken by insurance costs. I do plan on getting business insurance which isn’t a big deal it’s not a whole lotAny recommendations for marketing and obtaining clients are helpful as well! see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
