Cost of software development?

Hi all, looking for advice from software developers. The story: I currently have a system I have built on excel, that spits out reports and information based on the data I put in. It is simple but effective. I am looking to start my own company, and think it would be “easier” to create software that I can sell a license for, rather than sell a service where I input the data and create the reports. (As with most industries, data is golden and sometimes sensitive)So I’m just looking for a rough idea of the costs of involving a professional to develop the software?Thank you in advance for any advice. (I am in South Africa but the currency doesn’t matter) see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
