Finding an engineer

I’m looking to turn an idea into a product. For background - I already own a bookkeeping business and founded a startup non profit. So, I have the foundation and understanding of business and how to scale. However, I have no engineering skills. The basics of it would need to scan/measure an area and then tell you digitally.Edit: the idea is, when you’re having a baby, it’s not uncommon to have multiple people tell you that you’re dilated differently centimeters because they just use their fingers. Which can cause additional confusion and frustration for mom. Plus, no woman likes her cervix poked at any point in time, it’s uncomfortable. So, I’m looking to build a sleek insert reader that either scans or measures the cervix and provides an accurate digital reading. Eliminating confusion and providing comfort. How do I find someone to build this with me and then patent it? Where do I start looking and how do I vet them? see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
