How to survive your first Product Hunt launch 🚀

Hello Entrepreneurs!Today was my first product launch on PH. If you've read as many "how to win on product hunt" articles as I have, you might have the same hollow feeling of anxiety going into your first launch.I'm here to remind you of an age old wisdom: Don't Panic! If that's not enough, here's what I've found helpful with my launch today:1. Get plenty of sleep the night before. This one can't be understated enough. By the time 12:02 rolled around, some products had already had over a dozen votes. Maybe bots and fake accounts or maybe just a really prepared product launcher. Everyone who is showing up that day is just as prepared as you are. So don't sleep on them...literally!2. Have someone "hunt" your product for youPreferably someone you've chatted on more than one occasion. Not only are they your hunter, they will champion you throughout your launch!3. Reply to everyone, good or badIf you're lucky and you've built a good product/service people will say some really nice things about your product. It sort of feels like folks cheering you on in a race. You may get some stinkers though. Don't let them get you down. Treat everyone with respect, thank them for their time & attention (we all have the same number of seconds in our day) and continue doing your work. Another ancient wisdom: "haters gonna hate"4. Take the full dayI already mentioned this with your sleep but this is about planning your day. I normally do all my chores on Sunday. This week, I did them two days early and planned for an uninterrupted day at the computer.5. It doesn't matter what "place" you're in. Look to give people something valuableI'm in 2nd place right now but in my mind I've already won. Total strangers have reached out to say how interesting my work is and how they've appreciated me sharing my learnings. Giving value to others is worth more than a virtual trophy. That's all for now folks! If you want some more context to this post, check out today's launch! ✌️https://ift.tt/3zZ7tow see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
