So I started a venture with a friend a couple years ago. We are both engineers with day jobs working long hours. We developed a few of products within the first year, but did not make any money due to not having time during the day to call people, as well as lack of sales experience. My friend knew a 80+ yrs old German guy who had been in sales for his entire life, so we brought him on board hoping he'd solve our problems. Well...at first he seemed really sharp and knew what he was doing. But over the last year or so I realized he is a huge pain in the ass to work with. He gets rude and unpleasant easily when discussing things. There even turned out to be a language barrier. Lots of impulsive bad decisions were made and l have to clean after him. His understanding of how the world works is very, very outdated. For instance he drew a 2D sheet metal part using pen & paper and brought it to a metal shop expecting them to measure it and make it. He also thought injection molding & blow molding are the same thing. The list goes on.3 years later, we have still yet to make our first dollar and I'm getting increasingly frustrated. I'm starting to thinking about getting out, but am not sure how best to approach it without burning any bridges. My partners and I get along great when we are just hanging out, but once we get together to try and get work done it becomes a nightmare where nobody can understand each other.Your advice is appreciated! see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
