Need a little bit of help to kickstart online marketing campaign

I've recently launched, but am still fairly new. I am looking to promote an Instagram account about an event that I am organizing in my city. I've posted on Reddit about it (not on this account) and got a few hundred followers, but I need a few hundred more to comfortably follow through.I've tried various things, like posting on different subs online, hitting Facebook groups about my city and neighboring ones, contacting a dozen or so journalists about it, follow-back strategy, contacting other accounts to collab, making my followers share my content to their profiles, etc. but nothing seems to stick and the follower count is stagnating hard right now.What else can I do? Again, I'm pretty new so I'm not sure what options there are out there. I'd love anything that works. I'm aware everything I've done are free methods but I am still willing to pay if it's worth it.edit: Literally my next idea was, since my user base seems to be like 70% males in the mid twenties, to create a fake tinder account of an attractive woman and add the Instagram to my bio lmaoThanks a lot. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
