Starting a boardgame

I started creating a board game on the side as a hobby and now I am really getting into it, the game is going through play testing at the moment and I have found its a long game, so I am trying to get the game to be quicker as well as work on other aspects, such as balancing. But I soon intend to sell the board game. I have really enjoyed the process and I have every intention on creating a videogame based on the board game when I finish the board game. I want to use kickstarter to help create the revenue to complete the board game as a polished product. A few problems I am having though that I want to discuss and would appreciate some input.1) My biggest reason for wanting to use Kickstarter is to get the revenue to pay for the artwork on the game. However to sell the game on kickstarter I feel like I need to have good artwork already. I'm deciding to try to learn digital painting but idk if this is the best route.2) I need a lot of time to test the game and it also needs 8 people to test it at max players. It seems like it's beginning to become a test just to gather enough people to play the game enough to test it. Because it's not easy to find 7 people that want to spend 5 hours playing a game and I can't be paying 7 people for 5 hours, my goal os to find ways to shorten the game and I hope I have done that but I don't know yet. I'm thinking of maybe paying people by letting them name things in my game.3) Any tips for helping me to market the game? I think it's too early to start now, but I want to try and start this by September.4) Should I try and sell this boardgame to another company? If I do, will that likely mean that I forfeit my rights to develop this game as a videogame? see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
