If you're clicking this thread and thought of perseverance, you are correct! Here me out...Skills can be learned, experience can be gained, but perseverance is a trait that the truly successful entrepreneurs have. If you do something for long enough, you will eventually be successful. Now don't get this confused with working on the same project that was doomed for failure from the start. That would be the true definition of insanity. Those who persevere pivot, they make adjustments, they fail fast, and they fail well. Yes, there is such a thing as failing well and it doesn't mean starting over from scratch. Failing is part of the process of succeeding. It's counter-intuitive, but the more you understand the positives from failure the better you get at refining ideas, making adjustments, and ultimately reaching a point of product market fit.Your first idea will be refined over 100 times. By the time you achieve product market fit, you may be on a completely different idea, or have truly refined your original idea through the process of failure. This process can actually take YEARS but with perseverance, you will eventually get there.Here are some symptoms of NOT having perseverance:Being comfortable with your plan B! You say you want to be successful and you say you want to get rich... The truth is, you're too comfortable! The true pain of ACTUAL failure doesn't hurt enough because you always have a back up plan just in case. Entrepreneurship will be painful... Embrace it and get uncomfortable.Having no focus. Switching from idea to idea is not part of the refinement process. If you can't focus on a problem that you actually want to solve or address, you'll never learn anything. I see so many entrepreneurs with 5 different projects they want to work on. The truth is, working 20% on 5 different things is a 100% recipe for failure.The hustle hustle hustle mindset... Entrepreneurship is a marathon, not a sprint. You will have 15 hour days, no doubt, but doing that 7 days a week isn't sustainable. Learn to be methodical, learn to look at your business from a 30,000 foot view, and stop with this myth that you have to work 100 hours a week to make it. I promise, you will burn out and fail.
