Manufacturer is over 3 weeks late with my $70K inventory purchase. What penalties do you build into your purchase orders or contracts for late deliveries?

I’m out many thousands of dollars as I’m almost out of stock and they alerted me to a 3 week delay at the last minute. So I’ve had to deliberately slow sales down to a crawl. I’m a little salty about it, but I should have done better with determining an appropriate penalty. At this point, I just want to ensure I can take the product (it takes a minimum of 10 weeks to manufacturer so I can just run to someone new). But for next time, what type of penalty is typical? I had no penalties agreed upon beyond having the right to void the order. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
