How important is driving a fancy car?

I've been engineering and real estate for 11 years. Running my own business for 4 years. My clients are all rich and develop apartment buildings, mid-rises, and high end houses. The interactions are all business to business. I always try to present myself nicely (expensive shirts and suits, polished shoes) to mirror them. But how important is my car? Some clients comment on my cars (2008 Lexus ES 350, 2013 Toyota Venza) and some don't. But all seem to be looking at it when I drive up, and they seem to be judging. Hopefully I'm not being paranoid. For that reason, I'm thinking of leasing a new luxury car. But it's freakin' expensive.Am I worrying too much? I don't want to spend the time and maintenance for a nice car just for appearance. I'm generally humble and practical, but I'm wondering if it's better to spend the money and headache for a luxury car to gain clients' trust, especially when each business contract is $10,000 to $50,000. I'm also wondering if there are alternatives that work equally as well. I'm not sure but one thought I had was just working out and getting buff, which costs way less, makes me look more powerful, and is healthy. I'm probably going to do that anyway. But I'm just not sure how effective it is in a business sense and if it's an alternative rather than an enhancement. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
