Thinking of starting up a clothing brand from scratch, wouldn't mind some advice

Yes, i will be doing research on this. I just like talking to strangers rather than reading countless articles. Im looking to make some shirts, pants, socks, (and other seasonal clothes). This would be mostly out of passion and very small passive income for the time being obviously. Im in the very rough draft process, just brainstorming how i would go about this. Have 3rd party's supply the clothes/my designs, fill my closet and deliver/have people pick it up? Advertising my clothes while at work? Using facebook/ Craigslist? How early i would want a website with seamless shipping.. I expect to be in the hole for awhile. Anyone have experience with clothes starting from scratch?
