Long time lurker, first time poster in this sub.Currently building framework/website for a promising idea, but unsure of one main step. I need at least a quarter million dollars for startup equipment. Some say taking on personal debt for a business is a foolish move, but the idea of 100% ownership of an LLC appeals to me strongly. As it stands now, I feel my best option is to side hustle the business and try to get revenue high enough to secure a loan for the costs. I can do this without the equipment, but 8 hours of work with the machinery is roughly a week worth of work without, maybe 2 weeks. Another factor is that the machinery is required for any real scalability, so I will need it at some point regardless. What is your take on startup debt burden vs profit sharing? Are there any other options I'm missing here?(Obtaining clientele and rapidly scaling will not be a problem, given the idea. Although, without the machinery the logistics get far more complicated and the profit margin is far slimmer.) see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
