Chicken or the Egg?

When you first started out and you were Employee #0 of your company, not paying yourself, barely making any money - how did you approach your 1st partner/employee to poach them to help build your business but knowing upfront you can't pay them yet?For more context - I'm in business that it's hard to forecast revenue and relying on retained earnings (could be a flawed business model - story for another post).I need an Operations person to help streamline a lot of the day to day -> which I in turn would make my company more revenue. But, I don't have much, if any to pay this role a salary. Thus, the title of the post.Any feedback/real life examples etc? Thanks. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
