I am starting a real estate investing business and have a partner helping me. When I mention that I have a partner, about a third of people immediately start questioning it and say it's a bad idea. The rest don't care or think it's great and understand you can't do it all alone. This is confusing since every guru in the field says you should never do it all alone. In my opinion it's greedy to keep all the profits to yourself when you can give up a little and get more done.My partner fills roles that I cannot do, has contributed to our projects, and added value to my life. We've known each other for six months and have been at this for about four months. We haven't had a single argument. We've had disagreements, but we talk it through and are open to new ideas. In this business, if someone underperforms they can be left out on future deals, but are entitled to profits from previous ones. The other members on the team will have to figure out how to pick up their slack. We have an understanding that we'll still have each other's backs in the future even if this happens. Have most of these people been burned in the past by a bad partner or is there something I'm missing? see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
