Is this a scam?

It’s my first time ordering from a supplier in Pakistan (through alibaba) and I was expecting to pay via alibaba for some samples, however they have sent me an invoice and told me to pay via western union. When I asked why, they told me it’s because “alibaba payment method is not available in Pakistan.” Is this true? Or does it sound like a scam?They look like a pretty new supplier (keep in mind a lot of the suppliers for this item I have looked at are fairly new with little to no transactions) and it looks like they have no transactions so far. They have given me a great price though, so I thought I might as well order some samples. I just don’t see why a supplier would go out of their way to scam me of $100.
