I could use some help building subscribers to my treasure hunt business.

I've been working on a small business for about 5 months now, it's an online treasure hunt of sorts where players compete against each other to solve clues and puzzles as fast as they can to win $50. I've built a small subscriber base just through local advertising of about 14 people but I need to recruit more if I want to make it profitable.I've tried advertising on Reddit but I always feel like an asshole posting any sort of advertisement here. I'm wondering if anyone who has experience with building subscribers has any advice for me and other young entrepreneurs who are trying to do the same thing. If anyone could give any advice or pointers on where to advertise and the best ways to do it I would appreciate it more than you can imagine.
