Bit of a loss here. I am in the process of negotiating a contract to process some scientific data using a method I developed. I know the max amount that they are able to spend on an independent contractor. I also know roughly how much data. The deadline is in three months, and basically the more time I spend on it, the better the results will be. I have no idea how to set my price though. My only thought so far is to figure out the typical hourly wage of a person in this field and then add a certain amount since I won't be on a salary? Add in license costs of software. I feel like aiming for near the max that they are able to pay, but I feel all that I need a better way to justify that amount than what I have currently. What factors go into pricing a high-skill service? see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
