Every day I log into Twitter, I come across posts from one of the marketing bros who offer tips on how to start your own 7-figure digital marketing agency. Examples:Marketing bro 1Marketing bro 2Marketing bro 3I know that they are mostly platitude accounts either trying to sell their ebook on Gumroad, promoting their online course on how-I-got-rich, or booking clients through their self-praising tweets.And here I am, barely getting scraps in the name of projects running my content marketing agency.My question to my fellow marketers is—what do these Twitter bros mean by a marketing agency? Is it a full-service marketing agency in the traditional sense? Because they don't come across as experienced marketers to me. Some of them have specialized skills, like email marketing or Facebook ads. If that's the case, it's even more confusing because how the hell can you monetize a skill to make that kind of money??Even if I assume they are legit—how do they have the bandwidth to handle say more than 4-5 clients without having a team? Most of these accounts don't even have an agency website. IMO, they are glorified freelancers disguised as an agency.As a former freelance marketer, I know how hard it is to juggle more than 4 clients per week/month.I am curious to know what is it they know that I don't.
