And I totally understand what they mean. It’s scary. This is what people are usually afraid of:The limit between work and life gets blurred. You speak your mind much more freely than you would with a colleague. So feelings can get hurt. You'd spend a lot of time (too much?) with your spouse. You'd fight and argue much more. Every couple argues in private, but if you add work on top of it, you should fight more. After 1 year of starting a business together with my wife, I can honestly say that all these fears are justified...lol.But, all you need are a few adjustments. And once you've set those up, you cannot DREAM of a better business partner. Here are the 3 main adjustments we made:We place fun and passion at the center of our project. The idea is to always have fun, do what we want and support each other in the process. We defined roles really well. We know exactly what each one has to do. This is key. So there are no misplaced expectations and we don't step on each other's toes.We never talk about work outside work hours.I have had business partners before: people I worked with and people I went to school with. Here is what's different when you partner with your spouse:You trust each other and felt comfortable with each other from day one, which is not always easy with new business partners. It can take years. You can build a lifestyle together. My wife and I work remotely, so we left the city together. And if we want to take time off together or move again, it’s easy. You’re in it for the long haul and aligned on the long-term objectives. No one knows your strengths and weaknesses better. No one knows better how to cheer you up.All wins are truly sharedSo don't be afraid to work with your spouse.Once you get it right, it's really cool.Ask me any questions on the topic in the comments!B. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
