One of my friends from high school makes a ridiculous amount of money from his business selling.... amethyst crystals. He and his pop go down to Uruguay and mine crystals, then import them to the US. They're beautiful crystals. For real - amazing formations, pretty as hell, I've never seen crystals like them, although I don't really care about crystals. But they make a lot of money. They sell them at markets, on Instagram, and they have a digital storefront. But most of their revenue comes from sales at markets. They also sell to big clients and do massive, amazing installations.Maybe this is somewhat of a shitpost. But I've been on this sub for like 6+ years and I've always thought it has a major bias toward digital products, startups, ecommerce, agency models, etc.The problem with a lot of these businesses is that they're hard as hell to run profitably at scale. Many of them (well, maybe not agencies) rely on ad spend, which can be a total crapshoot in the long run. CPM volatility, overestimating the true size of your market, razor thin profit margins due to competition...This is NOT a plug for small/local business over anything. Just an observation that you can really make money doing almost anything. You just need a market, hustle, and a product. A real, simple product. I think that's another challenge with, for example, agencies: what are you selling? traffic growth, seo optimization, better ROAS... You know what my amethyst dealer friend is selling?Amethysts.Sell crystals baby! 🔮 see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
