I see a lot of people who operate one man shops putting "owner" as their title on their business card. While people do that because they are proud, it can actually cost you customers. While people love small businesses, they also love quality service. When someone hands me a business card and I see "owner" as the title then I'm pretty sure they are a one man shop which means no one to complain to besides them and about them, they are small so generally might not be that good of a company and a bunch of other reasons.I go a different route. Now if someone asks me directly if I'm the owner then I tell the truth, but the rarely ask. My business card for when I'm selling off site has my title listed as "chief of operations" when Im selling I also use a lot of "we" like "we just got these in" and "we just put these on sale"It gives the impression you are a larger company and builds trust faster with a first time customer. The business cards I have for the shop are generic with no title, just company info.Again if someone asks I tell them truth. But it isn't a lie. I'm the owner, CEO, COO, CFO. Manager and employee. I just picked h title carefully. Also have a uniform that always helps. So are professional looking business cards. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
