I was negotiating for a domain name I wanted but it wasn't really critical. I also wasn't highly motivated. Here's how it went down:1) Opening bid - $100 2) Counter offer - $7999 3) I counter - $120 4) They counter - $7500 5) I counter - $125 6) They counter - $1500 7) I counter - $500 (this is my absolute max) 8) They counter - $1000 9) I walk away to drive the point home 10) They reopen the negotiation with $750This is where I kick the door in their face and close the negotiation. I counter with $475. The plan was to lower my bid slightly each time they counter or send me a message going forward. They immediately accept.I've tried this strategy once in the past and it didn't work. But it did this time. However my estimate (completely based on feels) is that the domain is really only worth around $200 - $300. But I doubt I could convince him to accept that and it really isn't worth my time to try.So my question is is this a legit strategy in negotiation or did I just get lucky? see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
