Hey guys hope you’re doing fine! I needed some advice.I’ve (23) been running with my best friend (23) a web dev agency for 2 years in Ivory Coast and we’ve had our ups and downs, people here don’t actually see the value of having a functioning website with SEO, a proper UX/UI. They just want a website for the sake of it. About 30% of people genuinely understand the value of a well thought website. We mainly work 30% for Large companies and 70% SME’s.We use to be a team of 8 people (3 developers + 1 Technical Director + Me {Commercial director} + 2 Sales agents + 2 interns), technical director and developers worked on website development (Wordpress and html/css) and development processes, I worked on client acquisition processes and used to do some of the marketing. But now the team is gone because we realised that they weren’t efficient enough and even caused problems while still costing a lot.We use to make enough for a living and things were moving quite fast. We were selling websites cheaper than now at ridiculous prices of around $700.Now that our production times are better than ever even while only being two and that quality has gone through the roof, it’s really become easy to find people with a lot of interest in our services but the only problem seems to be our prices. Now we produce faster We sell websites at (imo) cheap prices but significantly more expensive than before.Ranges from $800 for simple informative websites and 8K for more advanced with cms etc. While clients are interested it is really frustrating as things move slow as soon as money is involved. Right now we are waiting on around 30K dollars spread around 5 clients.People use to pay in 2 steps (70% before and 30 after). Now we give them the possibility to pay in 12 months which helps. And the effect is positive but we need to substantially increase production and sales for it to work properly. It’s hard to find the right balance and specially by being only two it gets quite overwhelming but finding good employees in Ivory Coast is really complicated and risked as the culture is completely different.Btw I am half Ivorian and have been in Ivory Coast quite often so I know the culture etcMy question is, how can we find a way to sell more websites? For production we can manage with someone that is joining from Europe the team to helpWe sell to all industries and started by selling via LinkedIN and now through cold calling and simply by going to their offices and by presenting the service. Our plans are quite long term and aren’t limited to web development in the country. Otherwise we would’ve probably changed country by now 😂 see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
