If you are or want to be an entrepreneur but don't have an idea you are passionate about, please read.If you want to work on important projects that really can "make a difference", but don't want to go it alone, please read.I am a social worker with nearly 30 years in the helping field. My training and experience are in program development and management- I have created, implemented and managed programs for teen pregnancy, substance abuse, and diabetes healthcare-in the nonprofit sector. As a problem solver I see a lot of ways tech can go further to help others. I just completed an accelerator program for an app for caregivers and people with dementia, and I have a lot more ideas. But I have a few obstacles to bringing this idea and others to fruition.I have a full time job and I work with our state association for nonprofits training new nonprofit founders to build successful, sustainable programs. I am passionate about both and they fit my needs so I can help care for my dad with dementia. But, until I see successful products like I have in mind out there filling a need, I can't stop trying to figure out how to make it work.I am the type of person who goes over, under, around, and through. I have a couple other ideas for aging/memory impaired, nonprofit sustainability, and equity for minorities. They are in various idea stages, but research is one of my strengths. I am more interested in the possibility of making things better than I am having a ton of money, although I would like some financial benefit.
