Hi everyone, I am the sole founder of my fintech start-up, currently progressing into the MVP-building stage. I feel quite sluggish in that my days are filled with “trivial” tasks. According to an 80-20 analysis, I’ve determined that 80% of progress comes from these two tasks:B2B SalesNetworkingAlthough I focus on these tasks, countless other tasks are incredibly time-consuming and challenging to manage. You could say that these require 80% of the effort and yield only 20% of the results. Among them are:Social media managementSEO/blog writingResearchGoogle analyticsMeetings I am unsure how to deal with the less needle-moving tasks. Our competition has a great appearance across social media and SERP. I feel reluctant to give these tasks up entirely and think they are still relevant and important to maintain. Considering that my start-up is at an early stage and I am still looking for a technical co-founder, my budget is limited to $30k in total. My questions:Has anyone had a similar experience? How do you concentrate and prioritise the needle-movers yet get the other tasks done as well? What budget would you allocate to the less-important tasks if you were to hire freelancers?Would you recommend hiring someone to do tasks such as SEO, social media, etc. or are these trivial at such an early stage? I feel as though ranking #1 on Google will do little for my start-up at this stage, as this won’t get us funding or move the business ahead. One argument against hiring someone would be the knowledge and expertise that I could gain from doing tasks like these myself. Is this knowledge worthwhile the time investment? What should my main focus be as a non-technical sole-founder trying to raise capital in the fintech market? Thanks heaps, any pointers are appreciated! see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
