A friend and I have developed an interest for data analysis and the stock market. We have been combining the two for a while now. We noticed how big funds have an unfair advantage over regular investors by their capability to buy and gather data and wanted to do something about this. This has resulted in the creation of the open data platform BullTalk (https://bulltalk.app/#/). As of now on BullTalk we collect data from all over the internet related to stocks, organised in a clear way. Our goal is to provide hedge funds quality data for the regular Joe/Jane and empower the private investor. We have big plans to expand the site, and are working hard on doing so. Because we want to bring more equality in the market, we have made our platform free of use but have options to donate on the site. The idea of cookies doesn't fit into the ideology of our site. If we want to make the market more equal, then it wouldn't make sense to sell the data of our users to the highest bidder. The site does cost money to run each month, so hopefully people will start to donate soon, so we can cover our expenses. Does anyone have tips or ideas how to generate revenue on our site?We are both doing this as a side project besides our bachelors degrees. Since we don't have the money to spend a lot on advertisement, we try to reach our target group directly on forums, stock groups etc. Some of the places where we advertise are very welcoming of the idea, but others aren't, even after explaining that the site is free to use, they still see it as self promotion.Does anyone here have experience with the creation of an open-data platform? And some more general feedback of the site would be very appreciated as well. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
