Hi, I was just considering the "crowd-the-cause" approach for businesses as an alternative to typical branding and direct marketing.I just discovered this sub while exploring all around about it.People talk about it in different ways, so I'll share the way it was explained to me:A brand is nothing without some values or ideas associated with it. Consumers need to be able to identify with a brand. Therefore, the same principles apply in both branding and crowdfunding.(That is how it was explained to me by the person who became sort of a mentor to me about Internet marketing, even though he does not claim to be an expert - I got some wisdom from him over the years.)Another bit of wisdom I received was something like this: Even if a brand is for something mundane, like oil changes or potato chips, it's missing an opportunity if they don't inspire people. So now the crowd-the-cause method is essentially a bandwagon technique applied to cause marketing. Obviously different businesses would need to do this in different ways, and it requires creativity.I'm hurting my brain trying to come up with ways to apply this idea. It seems more of a guiding principle rather than an actionable strategy. It's something like this:Entrepreneur/brand stops trying to show consumers how great it is. Instead, the entrepreneur/brand offers services/products in some way that expresses a value or moral that can inspire people so they tell all their friends, because the entrepreneur/brand is no longer making it about themselves - it's about some idea that resonates with people.I'll benefit a lot from any ideas you share and I'm grateful in advance.. !! see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
