Provide value upfront. How I reached out to a space manufacturing company.

Back in December, I did something that led to business talks with Varda Space (space manufacturing company) founders and generated eight leads from a lucrative segment (VCs, deep tech companies)Here is the story:As a software design and development agency owner, I double down on having horizontal knowledge that allows me to know just something from many industries. As we all know, the Space Industry is booming right now.I came across Varda Space in TechCrunch, wanted to check their landing page, and noticed they don't have one. I was already familiar with Founders Fund and knew a little bit about the founder. The decision was quick - let's create a landing page concept and share it on Twitter. Here's the trick - The visual concept proves you have a good eye for design, but to increase your odds, you need to show you understand the industry and know how to navigate specific problem space. So I wrote a Twitter thread explaining what we thought Varda's most immense challenges were and how we would solve them.Eye-catching content + proof of understanding/expertiseI know my case is UX/UI design specific, but I think you can transfer it to your business too.It boils down to a few steps.1) Find what's hot in the space you want to attack.2) Do extra work. Instead of a cold email like "hey do you need a design sprint", create some unique value upfront and share it in public3) Timing and distribution are crucial. In my case, Twitter worked like a charm, but I believe sometimes Linkedin or Facebook might be a better medium.Worst case, you end up with an nice portfolio item/showcase for future clients.Best case, you skip the line, and founders want to talk to you. Moreover, you get traffic, recognition, and leads from adjacent industries.I know it's easier said than done, and in the design and software space, it's probably more apparent than in various industries, but I believe the formula is rather universal.I have used this strategy a few times already, and the immediate results seem to be strongly connected to the engagement you get from the company/person itself. In the long term, it just works for you when you sleep. Today I'm going to have a call with a VC fund who had seen our concept last week, after months of inactivity :)Would love to hear your thoughts! see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
