Just for context. I'm in a stable position in my life. I have a well paying job (actually a career) which allows me to save up about a third of my salary each month while buying any reasonable thing I want for myself and my GF. Needless to say, I don't need additional income but I love challenging myself in almost anything I do. You could make the point that I'm a competitive person in general. It's also extremely difficult for me to let go of things, especially if I notice potential.I recently identified a business opportunity. I don't want to be too specific but the current market in this area forces the customer to wait for about 16 weeks before the service is delivered. I believe I could provide the service both cheaper and a lot quicker (possibly even 3 times quicker). My conclusion is that this market is highly unsaturated.Here's the problem. I need a business partner to make this work since I don't have all of the skills necessary to provide the service. I involved my friend who has the missing skills. At first he was on board but it seems he's getting cold feet now. The opportunity itself doesn't require a lot of money invested but we need to put in some time and we won't see huge returns for the first 3 months. These two things combined are probably what's making him have second thoughts.Should I convince him? There's no obvious answer in my mind. On one hand, if I believe in the project I should at least try to get him on board. On the other, I don't want to be in a situation in which I'm giving it my all and he's only 50% in.The only other option is to get a different partner or outsource the missing skills. Obviously, there'll be some trust issues involved when dealing with strangers so I'm not sure if this is a better option.Any advice? see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
