Should your mentor be familiar the domain you’re working with?

Through my school I applied for a mentor, and was assigned to someone who works primarily in healthcare and business. I’m developing an app that’s not related to either field.Should I avoid working with mentor that isn’t familiar with the domain? I would need to wait until the next cycle to apply again.Currently, I’m not particularly concerned with developing a profitable revenue stream, applying for funding, or anything that might require legal advice. I’m more concerned about solving customer retention as well as expanding the features available, which I’m not sure they would be able to help with much. Aside from connections (which likely are mostly concentrated in healthcare), are there other benefits I’m missing? see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
