Is it illegal to offer another businesses free products on your site?


This was asked to me by someone looking to start a business, and wants to offer free items from other places, and slowly replace them with her own as she creates them. Her idea to this is simply to start her site up sooner.Is there anything "illegal" in the below;Business A offers a free downloadable product for anyone to use, with no licensing or credit required.Can Business B offer that downloadable product in their site for free, with full credit and reference to the original site?In example, having a disclaimer at the bottom saying "this downloadable item has been sourced from xyz.com. Business B is not in any way associated with Business A etc. etc." And/or clearly displaying the source locations logo with a direct link to the website. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
