Hi everyone. I'm a fashion stylist. I am now running a fashion blog and online store, and I am also offering personal counseling for everyone who wants to make a style change. I've spent the last five years building up my brand. The marketing team I'm working with is saying I should release a fashion app this year that will combine all my services and content in one place. In their opinion, this could bring more clients to my business, given that everyone sticks to their phones these days. The app could easily let them know about my blog news or the new items in my store and help me stay in touch with my audience and customers. Also, I've been advised to offer my clients the chance to pay for my counseling services and items within the app. And although this plan seems profitable, and I love the idea of having my own app, I'm not sure I want to invest in it.I've heard about all these suits between large companies and Apple because of the 30% fee, and given that I already make more than one million per year, if I allow in-app purchases, I'll have to give app store almost a third of my profits. And tbh, I'm not delighted with these perspectives. I'm not Amazon. I doubt that they'd make an exception for my business and allow me to pay only 15%.I've read that you can easily bypass the app fee by offering your clients an alternative payment method, such as giving a link to the website or using a third party that offers an in app purchase paying solution. Many app developers use these solutions to bypass the app store fees. And if I decide to invest in my app, I'll probably stick to this option. But before even searching for an app developer, I'd like to hear from people who have already been through this. Did the app bring any considerable growth to your business? Is it worth it? I'd be grateful if you shared your knowledge or experience. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
