This is the year. I’m 30, I have the time, money and support to finally scratch my life long entrepreneurial itch. But what to launch? Literally anything…and that is overwhelmingContextI have a good job in finance, so now have a modest cushion in the bank and solid ongoing salary. However I feel I’m at a point in my life where I know what it’s like to have a career, the comfortable life etc but there’s something missing. I’ve always ultimately wanted to run my own company and know how passionate I would be about growing a business. Now I want to get going. I’m more looking to start a company than a side hustle, if that distinction makes sense.Thankfully my work schedule and time are really my own, so I’ve decided to block a day a week in my calendar for ‘entrepreneurial’ day. I’ve booked space at a WeWork so I can have a change of scenery, get into the mindset, be surrounded by other entrepreneurs and get the juices flowing. The problemI find the fact that I could literally start any business quite overwhelming and paralysing, like a rabbit in headlights. It could be a recruitment firm, window cleaning business, tech app, shoe brand. Do I go service or product, b2c or b2b, physical or digital. I don’t have an obvious skill that I can just spin out by myself i.e. accountant, set up your own firm. I’m quite an optimiser in life, so naturally approach this problem the same way (which is a strength and a weakness). The askI would really appreciate the communities advice on any frameworks, books, strategies etc that helped you find your business ideas. Any advice or stories of going through the idea generation stage would be really interesting. I can’t wait to start my entrepreneurial journey and have that passionate idea take hold see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
