I live in a small island country (total population ~59,000) in the South Pacific. I do a little bit of everything in the northern tip, from IT administration (systems, programming, networking, security. etc) to mechanics to multimedia production and even marketing. Needless to say, each day is a little different from the next.A 3am call to the local clinic because their system is down? I'm the one who is called.Someone needs their boat motor fixed ASAP? Me.A new restaurant is having their grand opening event and they need a Facebook page, videography and editing done? Oh and a live sound system setup? I'll be there with a smile.Local motorcross star wants a full marketing package, including someone to shoot a video of them doing stunts and adding some custom music? It will be done by the end of the month.Electronics need fixing? A band who needs someone to record and do post-production? I'll attempt it.Unless you're in the restaurant or fishing industry here, it's hard to make a go of things. Too many people have moved to Australia, New Zealand, or North America to find a better life. I'm blessed to have used my skillset to build a profitable business but nearly a decade in and it has been burning me out. Before anyone asks, I do have a couple of people I can delegate work too but they have full time jobs and families so they aren't around as much.I'm a Canadian who moved here when I was sixteen, after my mom married an indigenous man. I would move back to Canada for better opportunities, but I'm a bit scared of starting my entire professional life over.Just venting, but advice is welcomed. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
