While doing some shopping the other day, I realized that tracking down the product with the specific features that I want is actually kind of difficult. It's not a difficult product to make and there are a ton of different companies making different variations of it. There's no clear "leader" mainly because people are very selective about the features and attributes that the product has. Most of these companies sell direct to consumer from their own website. Tracking down a version of the product with the specific attributes I desired basically requires me to search for these companies one by one and check to see if they had a product that fit my needs.I'd like to build a website that puts all of this info in one place and allows users to enter the criteria they are looking for and be given a list of matching products with links to the manufacturer's website. Basically a filter system like you would find on any retailer's website.Is this a reasonable project for one person to tackle? I have no programming experience but plenty of time to learn- I just have no idea where to even begin other than compiling all of my data into a spreadsheet.
