What the best way out?

I work in sales (Uk) I earn 40k a year. 2 years ago I was earning 15k stacking boxes of wholesale crisps. Since I got my current job I’ve always felt lucky and appreciated that there is lower paying jobs out there. But I feel like my work life now completely out weighs my own life. I work every weekend and I am pretty much told when I’m allowed to take my annual leave. I feel like I’m missing so much outside of work, such as spending weekends with my family and I can no longer play rugby on a Saturday with my friends. This has made me feel isolated. What steps can make to start working for myself. I’ve had ideas of saving up and redevelop a property or even investing in a franchise. Has anyone else felt the same and finally took the first huge step? Even if it worked out or not. see hubwealthy.com/wealthy
